The evening of 8th to 9th October saw the passing of Bruno Latour, Spinozaprijs Laureate 2020. The board of the Stichting Internationale Spinozaprijs mourns the death of this eminent thinker and commends his commitment during the run-up to the ceremony in November 2020. In spite of his illness, he inspired 800 viewers with his online reading for Radboud Reflects and spoke to students with attention and humour during the digital meets & greets as part of the Welcome to the Parliament of Things project. In spite of the limitations of the Coronavirus crisis, he gave an unforgettable performance at our festive online award ceremony from his study in Paris. Latour will remain a source of inspiration for many people, particularly those looking for an alternative approach to non-humans during the climate crisis.
